Survivors include his wife, Delores Adkins Akin; four children: Walter Hoover Akin, Peggy Lorrain Peppers, Simon Day Akin and Faye Akin; his parents, Archie Henry and Donna Victoria Milby Akin; four brothers: Wesley Akin, Henry Akin,
Walter Akin and Chester Akin; and five sisters: Rosa Judd, Bertha Adkins, Hallie Montgomery, Elsie Henderson and Pauline Sutton; a granddaughter, Sundie Peppers, all of Green County, Ky. Burial was in the Archie Akin Cemetery on the farm of
