Mrs. Victoria Milby Akin died at her home near Greensburg Feb. 16, [1942], at the age of 63 years, after an illness of five months. Born Feb. 18, 1878 she was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Drew Milby. She was married to A. H. Akin, Feb. 21,
1895, and to this union was born twelve children, three of whom preceded her to the grave, Mrs. Will Henderson, Mrs. Fred Henderson, and Ellis Akin. Those who survive are her husband, and nine children, Mrs. Beckham Judd, Mrs. Tom Adkins, Mrs. Lester Montgomery, Mrs. Eugene Sutton, Mrs. Arvin Henderson, Wesley Akin, Henry Akin, thirty-three grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and one brother and two sisters and many other kinfolks and neighbors who will miss her.
She professed faith in Christ early in life. She was a faithful companion and a loving mother, and was very much devoted to her home and family. Funeral services were onducted at the home Wednesday afternoon at 1 p.m. by Rev.
Abraham Berry. She was laid to rest in the family cemetery.
