Benjamin H. Boese, 86, of Vona, died Thursday at a local hospital. He was born Jun. 14, 1871 in Heinrichsdorf, Russian Volhynia to Henry B. and Katharina (Schmidt) Boese and had lived in Colorado more than a half-century, since 1907. He is survived by his wife Mary J. (Dirks) Boese of Vona; two sons, the Rev. Roy R. Boese of Leadville, and Arthur Boese of Vona; a daughter, Mrs. Fred Swartz of Loveland; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
