Services for Bill Wilburn, 86, of Healdton, Oklahoma, are scheduled for 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 16, 2019, at the Assembly of God Church in Healdton with Frank Cargill officiating. Others speaking will be Brother Ronnie McCaslin, Brother Richard Owen, Edward Dyer and Danny Woulfe. Interment will follow at the Mount Olive Cemetery.
Bill was born to R.C. and Annie Dublin Wilburn August 2, 1933, in Oilton, OK. He departed this life March 13, 2019 at the V.A. Hospital in Ardmore. Bill attended school in Oilton and Drumright, OK. He married Opal Mizer February 9, 1952, in Drumright, OK. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force later that same year. He served four years. They moved back to Healdton and he worked in the oil field as a salesman, until he retired in 1998. Bill enjoyed golfing and bowling. He never missed watching an OU and Dallas Cowboys football game. He loved his family and will be greatly missed.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Opal Wilburn, 3 sisters and 5 brothers.
He leaves behind to cherish his memories: daughters Martha Ann Snell and Bob of Sand Springs, OK, Mary Jo Wright and Ronnie of Ardmore, OK, and Sharon Nichols and Ray of Ardmore; grandchildren Stephanie Russell of Sand Springs, OK, Jason Snell of Drumright, OK, Catherine Wright of Yukon, OK, Christie Lamb of Oklahoma City, Danny Woulfe of Aurora, IL, Gretchen Bruner of Purcell, OK, and Robert Nichols of Ardmore, OK; 7 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers will be Danny Woulfe, Robert Nichols, Jason Snell, Steven Wilburn, David Wilburn, and Edward Dyer.
