Funeral services for Mrs. Gertrude Freiberg, 72, of 44 N. Royal Ave., will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday at the Church of Peace. The Rev. Martin Kochler will officiate, with burial in Estabrook Cemetery. Friends and relatives of Mrs. Freiberg may call from 3 to 9 p.m. today at Zacherl Funeral Home, and from 11 a.m. until the time of services Monday at the church. She died Saturday, Aug. 16, 1980, at St. Agnes Hospital. She was born Sept. 9, 1907, in Fond du Lac, a daughter of Dell and Anna Graessly Cleveland. She was married to Emmett Freiberg in October of 1929 in North Fond du Lac. He preceded her in death in 1964. She was a member of Church of Peace. Her survivors include: four daughters, Mrs. Raymond (Doris) Werner of Onsted, Mich., and Mrs. Myrtle Trott, Mrs. Elmer (Ruth) Fox and Mrs. James (Jane) Smet, all of Fond du Lac; three sons, William, Eugene and Roger, all of Fond du Lac; 10 grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Ralph (Hazel) Smith and Mrs. June Arenz, both of Fond du Lac; and two brothers, Ray and Lyle Cleveland, both of Fond du Lac. She was preceded in death by her husband, three brothers and two sisters. A memorial to the American Cancer Society has been established.
