Mrs. Powell, a former Norfolk resident and the widow of William D. Powell, was a member of First United Methodist Church of Norfolk. She was a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include a daughter, Shirley Stretch of Wilsonville; two sisters, Mrs. William Linkins of Washington, D.C., and Mrs. Leonard Wilson of Gastonia, N.C.; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
The graveside service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Rosewood Memorial Park by the Rev. Harry Spears. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, is handling arrangements.
