He was born Oct. 15, 1930, in Rosalia, to Eddie E. and Vanita (sic) Nicholas Baker and spent all his life in this area. He graduated from El Dorado High School and seved in the Korean War from 1951 to 1954. He was production superintendent for White & Ellis Drilling Company and was a member of Patmos Masonic Lodge 97, A.F.& A.M., V.F.W. and American Legion. In 1968, he and Patsy Ann Scribner Lamb were married in Miami, Okla. She preceded him in death June 14, 1991.
Survivors include: sons, Bill, Mike, Eddie, Russell, all of El Dorado; daughters, Sandra McClune of El Dorado, Marsha Armstrong of Opelika, Ala.; stepsons, Mark Lamb, Zachary Lamb, both of El Dorado; brother, Marion of El Dorado; sisters, Mildred Martin of Howard, Hazel Inman of Salem, Ore.; 15 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one granddaughter. Memorials are to the Kansas Oil Museum.
