Born in Palermo, NY, she was the daughter of Caswell & Alice Amanda Holbrook Sherman.

Anna was the wife Harvey Day Pitcher. Their children were Ernest W., Giffie Alice, Enos John, Orr Caswell, Cleo Charlene, Esther Amanda (Gantley), Leola & Lucille Agnes Pitcher.

Mrs. Anna Pitcher Dies at Age 92

Mrs. Anna Pitcher, 92, of Brasher Falls R.D. 2, was pronounced dead on arrival last Monday evening at Massena Hospital.

Born in the town of Palermo, Mrs. Pitcher resided in the Palermo area most of her life. She was a member of the Raquette River United Methodist Church. She was also a member of Daughters of Union Veterans of the Civil Way, Mary A. Chappel tent 61.

Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Giffie Parkhurst of Doldgeville, Mrs. Leola Viel of Ithaca, Mrs. Esther Gantley of Fulton; and Mrs. Lucille Paatz of Brasher Falls; two sons, Ernest Pitcher of Ft. Myers, Fla., and Enos Pitcher of Portland, Ore.; fifteen grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and one brother, Mason Sherman of Navarino.

Services were Thursday at the Foster Funeral Home in Fulton, with the Rev. Northrop offficiating. Interment was in North Volney Cemetery.
