Mrs. Ometa Shockey, 84, of 802 S. Limestone St., died Tuesday evening in the Phillips Nursing Home following one year of failing health. She was born April 6, 1887, in Springfield, a daughter of William and Elizabeth Hyser and had resided in Clark County and Springfield all of her life. Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Margaret Smith of Springfield, Mrs. Helen Wilson of the New Carlisle Pk., Mrs. Katherine Dunipace of Penderville, O., and Miss Dorothy Shockey of Dayton; one son, Harry of Pensacola, Fla. Mrs. Ometa Shockey---Funeral rites will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Richards Memorial Home for Mrs. Ometa Shockey, 84, of 802 S. Limestone St. Burial will be in Donnelsville Cemetery. Friends may call in the funeral home from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. Mrs. Shockey died Tuesday in the Phillips Nursing Home. Her health had been failing for the past year.
