Goodrich, Delos Dayton went to be with The Lord on January 25, 2020 at the age of 94, with his wife Arlene (Boucher) Goodrich at his side, in Moore Haven, Florida. He resides in Fairview, Michigan in the summer and Florida in the winter. Del kept active by dancing, playing cards, skeet shooting, hunting, fishing, bowling and golfing. He was involved with the American Legion and the VFW in Mio, Michigan. Delos was preceded in death by his mother Peris Dew Hager and his father Henry Goodrich, his wife of 64 years, Alice Unger Goodrich, as well as his sisters: Millie, Mary and Eleanor and his granddaughter Allicia. He leaves his wife Arlene, 3 children: Kathy Lockwood, Dayton (Tammy) Goodrich and Vicky (Pat) Hall; 6 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Delos proudly served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Sitka Bay in WWII and on the USS Ajax in in Korea. Del had a special talent for making friends everywhere he went. So many people loved and respected him. Visitation 6:00 - 8:00 PM Thursday, January 30, 2020 at the Lashley Funeral Home, Mio, with a Vigil Pray Service at 7:00 PM PM. Funeral Services will be held at at St. Mary Catholic Church, Mio, MI, at 11:00 AM on Friday, January 31, 2020 with Reverend Santiago Hoyumpa officiating, with Military Honors to following at the Church. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sty. Joseph the Worker-Food Pantry, 24065 Highway, Moore Haven, FL 33471. Private Interment at Fairview Cemetery Fairview, MI.
