Mrs. Allen was born in Guilford County on Dec. 19, 1904. She was a loving mother and a faithful member of Friendly Avenue Baptist Church. She also worked for Blue Bell Corporation for 31 years and was an avid skater until she was 75.
Lois Allen is survived by three daughters, Margaret Allen Bigham of Greensboro, Nancy Allen Cecil of High Point and Lou Jean Allen Brown of Trinity; and two sons,Fred L. Allen, Jr. and James H. Allen, both of Greensboro.
She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred AllenSr. and son,Douglas Boyd Allen.
