Buck moved with his family from Kansas City to Bedford, Iowa when he was a young boy. He graduated from Bedford High School in 1957. He married Pamela Fern Straight on February 5, 1961 at Bedford, Iowa, two sons, Mark and Mike, blessed this union.
Buck and Pam lived in Kansas City, Kansas. Buck served in the Army National Guard and the Army Reserves. Pam & Buck returned to Bedford where Buck worked for his father-in-law at Straight Oil Company in Bedford. He moved to Mt. Ayr and Creston to work for Places and then A&E Dairy in delivery. Buck & his family moved to Osceola in 1976 to work for Old Home Bread and later began his favorite job driving a truck over the road for Jimmy Dean. He also drove for Pulley Freight and Munson Transportation before driving for Keane Thummel Trucking in New Market.
Buck and Pam moved back to Bedford and Buck was very involved in the Bedford community, including Pride of Bedford, Bedford Lions Club and volunteered for many community activities including helping when RAGBRAI came to Bedford.
Buck loved driving a truck. He enjoyed the other drivers and stories of on the road. He was always telling jokes and cutting up. Buck was a hard worker and family provider.
Those relatives who preceded Buck in death were his parents, Edna and Leonard Browne, Sr.,

W. Barker, sister, Linda Browne of Wichita, KS as well as other relatives and many friends.
