Alice, Texas- Marilynn (Lynn) Litchy Von Ruff, 71 beloved wife, mother and grandmother died peacefully in the presence of family members on July 25, 2007, at her home in Alice, Texas.

She was born to Ruth Voytilla and Anton (Tony) Litchy on July 19, 1936 in Holdingford, Minnesota.

She proudly served our country with the US Marine Corp, as a legal secretary, where she met her life long companion and husband. As the wife of a career military man, as do all military wives, she accepted the responsibility of raising their four sons during his absence. After all the sons were in schools she worked with the Civil Service for the state of Alaska, the army at Forth Richardson, Alaska and the air force at Dyess AFB Base. After leaving military service they settled in Holdingford, Minnesota where she was employed as a secretary of the public schools.

After four years she moved back to Alice, Texas where she worked for Foster Electric Company and Gulf Electric and Supply Company.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother: Anton and Ruth Litchy.

Survivors include her loving and devoted husband of 51 years, Alvin Von Ruff, of Alice, Texas, her sons: Al and wife Kathleen of Gibson City, Ilinois, Timothy and wife Cristina of Houston, Texas, Daniel and wife Gokce of Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas and Thomas and wife Andrea of Ft. Worth. The four greatest grandchildren; Olivia, Lucas, Amanda, and Jessica-Aylin; her sister: and brother-in-law: Marlene and John Huyck of Mounds View, Minnesota. Her brothers: Donald Litchy and wife Beverly of Holdingford, Minnesota, David Litchy and wife, Linda (Lynn) of Salem, Oregon; Bill Litchy and wife, Char of Grayslake, Illnois; numerous nieces and nephews and grandnieces and grand nephews.

A rosary was recited July 27, 2007 at the Holmgreen Mortuary Chapel. A funeral mass was celebrated July 28, 200 at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Alice, Texas. Burial followed with military honors July 30, 2007 in Fort Sam Houston National Cementary in San Antonio, Texas.
