Betty Ann Purkey, 85, of Fairmont, passed away on Friday, January 24, 2020 at her residence, surrounded by her family. She was born on April 24, 1924, in Clarksburg; daughter of the late Charles Everett Ogden and Hattie (Cutlip) Ogden.
Betty was a gifted mother and homemaker. She was a member of the Holt community.
Betty is survived by her daughter, Sarah M. Hayhurst of Fairmont; her sons, David Purkey and his wife, Dennise and her daughter, Camila of Fairmont, and Jerry A. Purkey of North Carolina; her grandchildren, Jonathan Purkey, Brandy Richards and husband, Josh and her great granddaughter, Trinity Richards, Jason Purkey, Lisa Pelligree, Jodi Pelligree, Cara Reynolds, Michelle Keiter; and her great granddaughter, Kreyah Purkey.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Paul R. Purkey; her son, Charles Randall Purkey; her daughter-in-law, Zona Purkey; and her sisters, Irene Holt and Mary Holt.

Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery.
