Diana the twenty-one months old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Abbott, of the Wixon farm, Shafter Road, died Monday evening at Bronson hospital caused by burns received at noon by falling in a pail of hot water. The child had been playing in the other room and the result of the accident was unforeseen as well as a terrible shock to the mother at the time.
The child was rushed to Bronson Hospital by Dr. W. H. Howard but its life could not be saved. A little brother five months old survives besides the parents. Galesburg Argus April 6, 1939 page 1
