Anna Mae Jones passed away on October 1, 2016. She was born in Owensboro, Kentucky on August 20, 1942 and moved with her family to the Chicagoland area in her early teen years. There, she met her love, Bill "Buddy" Jones. They were married on June 20, 1958, remaining together in loving matrimony until her final days. Ann Jones was a strong-willed woman who made her opinions known. She was an excellent cook who never remembered her own recipes, saying "it tastes good, but it's different every time." Most of all, "Miss Ann", as her Mississippi neighbors called her, was fun. She absolutely loved to dance and could make a good time out of any situation. She listened to oldies, blues, soul, and R&B – whatever she could move to. Her non-traditional tastes often shown in the action movies she watched. Another defining characteristic was her warmth of heart. She loved all her family and cared for anyone in need, regardless of their origin or plight. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Clayborn Jones and Edna Case Jones Hawkins; sisters, Wilma "Wiggy" Coakley and Ruthie Jones. She is survived by her husband, Bill Jones; sister, Katherine Regan; one son, Thomas; three daughters, Patricia Wagner (Kenneth), Karen Ryan (Bruce), and Judy Libersher(Greg); one daughter-in-law, Patti Jones; grandchildren, Heather Marshall (Matt), John Wagner (Shaina), Sarah Jones, Will Jones, Steven Ryan (Breanne), Rachel Proffitt (Justin), Angela Libersher, Greg Libersher, Kelly Libersher; non-familial grandchild, Emily Earnest.
