Fred H. Allard, 71, 8175 N. Shore Blvd., Lakeside, died Friday at ProvidenceHospital, Sandusky. Born Oct. IS, 1914, in Bennington, Vt., he was a son of the late John W. and Evelyn M. Wilkins Allard. , He had worked for 41 years' at Western Union in Toledo where he was plant engineer at the time of his retirement in 1975. A World War II U.S. Navy veteran, he wits post commander at Waltz-Hodgins American Legion Post 348, Toledo. Surviving are his wife, the former Orilla M. Phillips, whom he married Sept. 14, 1940, in Toledo; and a sister, Viola Perkins of Toledo. The funeral was to be held at 1:30 p.m. today at Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 222 E. South Boundary, Perrysburg. Burial was in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park, Toledo. Any desired memorial contributions may be made to the Ottawa County Chapter of the American Cancer Society or to Grace Lutheran Church, Toledo. ,
