He was a WWII Army veteran, a Sharon Fireman, a member of the Sharon Legion, owned the Gulf Gas Station for many years until his retirement. He loved to golf, read, fish, watch old movies and go for his annual bus trips to the Casino.
He was predeceased by his son Stephen Pitcher.
He leaves behind his two grandsons; a sister and several nieces and nephews.
Also, he is predeceased by his brothers Daniel and Jerome Pitcher and his sisters Leontine Pitcher, Loretta Whitbeck, Janet Funai, Anne Whalen, Priscilla Platt, Patricia Gillette and Barbara McEnroe.
