There has been a some confusion about this Memorial. Below is the transcription of the pertinent points from the Registered Death Certificate. There was a preliminary Death Certificate that was not registered but was an official part of the record that had his death date as the 1st versus the 2nd (note he died at about 1 am). We have added a composite photo showing the comparison. Additionally, old records for the surveys of the cemetery have his name as Frank Goldie Grigsby vs James Goldie Grigsby but all of the legal documentation points to the name as shown here. The surveys also have him buried in Shepherd Cemetery and not in White Horn Methodist Church Cemetery.
