Mrs. Allen was born, reared and had spent practically all her life in the community where she died. She had been a member of the Baptist Church since early in life and was an excellent woman, held in high esteem by all who knew her.
Besides her husband she is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Murray Mullins, of Hampshire; two sons, George Allen, U. S. Navy, stationed at Norfolk, Va.; and Will Allen; her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Ned Russell; two brothers, Garfield and Joe Russell; and four sisters, Mrs. Albert Wright of Sandy Hook; Mrs. Lee Garner of Hampshire; Mrs. Rena Sims of Nashville and Mrs. Lee Cothran of Southport.
The funeral was held from the home of her father-in-law, George Allen, today by the Rev. J. E. Hight, assisted by the Rev. Frank G. Lavender of Columbia.
Interment Arlington Cemetery.
