John Beverly is the son of John Beverly Sr. and Margaret Ann Williams-Beverly. John's parents died when he and the rest of his siblings were still very young and leaving them orphans so each of them was taken in by friends and neighbors of their parents to be raised. John was taken in by Herman Husband.
