Cecil Bernard Laffoon was born on July 31, 1946 in Columbia to the union of his parents Henry Clay Laffoon and Mary Adeline Hatten Laffoon and he passed from this life on Sunday, January 12, 2020 at the Ochsner L S U Medical Center in Monroe following an extended illness.
Mr. Laffoon worked in the construction field most all of his life, having worked with Brown & Root Construction Company and retiring from Key Millwork in Monroe. He is preceded in death by his parents and by two wives, Joyce Annette Laffoon and Helen Elizabeth Laffoon and his sisters, Elaine Smith and Ruby Bagwell.
Left to cherish his memory are two children: his son, Neil Laffoon (Heather Blake) of Bridgetown, Ohio and his daughter, Amy Lewis (Nicholas) of Fort Worth, Texas; a grand daughter he raised as a daughter, Reagan Thompson of Columbia; his brothers, Roger Laffoon and Waymond Laffoon; his sisters: Peggy Sims (Ricky), Christine Jones (Willie) and Johnnie Faye Moye (Mike) and five grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers will be Stacy Laffoon, Shane Laffoon, Jason Laffoon, Bo Jones, Josh Laffoon and Paul Sims. Honorary pallbearers include Gene Perot and Willie Jones.
