Charles P. Myers, 63, died Saturday, June 14, while raking hay at his home near Ulman. Mr. Myers was born May 26, 1912 near Ulman in Miller County. He was the son of Asa and Carrie Jane (Patterson) Myers. He married Georgia Mary Slone on October 22, 1932, in Waynesville and she preceded him in death on November 28, 1967.

Mr. Myers lived in the Ulman area all his life where he was a farmer and a stockman. He had been a member of the Ulman Christian Church since June 7, 1942 and was a member of the Ulman Saddle Club.

Survivors include: one daughter, Mrs. Mary Martin of Warrensburg; two granddaughters, Pamela and Debora of Warrensburg, and one grandson Timothy of Warrensburg; two brothers, Ray Myers of Kansas City and Bill Myers of Ulman; two sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Stout and Miss Kathleen Myers, both of Ulman.

Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 17, at the Ulman Christian Church with the Rev. Raymond Bond officiating. Interment was in the Hickory Point Cemetery under the direction of the Stevinson Funeral Home of Iberia.

Active pallbearers were: Logan Stone, Tom Graves, Maurice Patterson, Marvin Patterson, Wade Hensley and Tennyson Patterson. Honorary pallbearers were Roger Eads, James Myers, Guy Hix, Jasper Hensley, Babe Patterson and Wayne Hensley.
