Obituary, January 7, 1956

Mrs. Lou Bell Crisp Bass, 72, died Friday night at the home of a son, Basil Crisp, Star Route, Jefferson City. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Christian Church in Ulman with the Rev. John Jenkins officiating. Burial will be in the Hickory Point Cemetery.

Mrs. Bass was born February 17, 1883, in Miller County, the daughter of Jesse and Alpena Burks. She was married first to George William Crisp and then to Clyde Bass, both deceased.

Surviving are three sons, Basil Crisp, Jefferson City, Cal Crisp, Denver, Colo., and Perry Crisp, Kansas City; two sisters, Mrs. Josie Nixdorf and Mrs. Lettie Bass, both of Ulman; two half-sisters, Mrs. Tracy McDonald and Mrs. Dorothy Burris, both of Ulman; one brother, Walter Burks, Ulman.
