Henry Ensminger was born in 1771 in Lancaster, Cocalico Co., PA. He married Rachel Daugherty abt 1798. They had 12 children. Their first child, Elizabeth was born in 1799 in Washington Co., MD. They moved to Indiana and then to Hamilton Co., OH by 1830. Their last 2 children, Rebecca and Mary were born in Perry Co. OH. Henry died there in 1832 and was buried at the Bethel Methodist Church cemetery in 1832. His daughter, Rebecca, buried here, was born abt 1816. She married Anthony Lane Beard in 1834 in Perry Co., Ohio. She bore 3 children and then died in Perry Co., OH in 1839 at 23 years of age. She was buried in the cemetery by her parents, but her grave location is not marked. Her father, Henry Ensminger, had died in Perry Co. in 1832 and her mother in 1869. Her husband, Anthony Lane Beard, was married again to Emily Pleukharp in 1840. She bore him 11 more children. Rebecca is my 3rd great grandmother. Steve Kimple
