Millard M. Wade

RENOVO—Millard M. Wade, 89, a retired Pennsylvania Railroad yard conductor died Wednesday, July 20, 1960, in the Renovo Hospital. Mr. Wade and his wife, Ella, who celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary this year, lived at 521 Farwell Avenue.
Mr. Wade had enjoyed gardening at his home and was an active worker at the Farwell Methodist Church, of which he was a member.
He was born November 17, 1870 at Trout Run and came to Renovo in 1914. He was the last member of the family of Mr. and Mrs. Elijah Wade. His survivors were his wife, one son, Clarence R., of Bridgeville, Pennsylvania; nieces and nephews.
Mr. and Mrs. Wade were married in Williamsport on March 15, 1895, at the Enright Hotel, which the former Ella Jerles parents owned. The pastor of Pine Street Methodist Church was the officiating minister for their wedding.
Mr. Wade was a member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen.
Funeral services were held at the Moriarty Funeral Home, Renovo, with the Reverend Lester Showalter officiating.
Interment was in North Bend Cemetery.
