Lula married John L. Gresham on July 1, 1880, in Franklin County, Arkansas. They had four children and he died in 1892. She then married widower Robert Granville Young between June 1899 and June 1900. Family stories say he mistreated her, so it is not surprising she was living near her father's home when she died.
