Funeral Tomorrow For Bruce H. Bower
Bruce H. Bower, 72, former employe (sic) in the State Department of Mines, died Sunday at the home of his son, Fred Bower, 31 North Seventeenth street (sic), Camp Hill.
Mr. Bower was a native of Berwick and was a choir director there until 1920 when he moved to Harrisburg. While leading choirs at Berwick, he composed a number of sacred selections. He retired from active duty about ten years ago. He was a member of Berwick P. O.S. of A and' Royal Arcanum.
Surviving, in addition to his son, who is Camp Hill High School principal, are one granddaughter; one brother, Clark, Berwick, and one sister, Mrs. Effie Paden, Berwick.
Services will be at 7 p. m. at the Fackler funeral home, 1314 Derry street (sic). The Rev. J. F. Gross, Harris Street Evangelical Church, will officiate. The body will be taken Wednesday to Berwick, where further services will be held. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery. Friends may call between 7 and 9 p. m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
