parents were Col. George Cyrus Weber and Sarah (Beaver) Weber
Was a strong woman and "stern disciplinarian" of her eight children. She ran the "domestic factor" with the help of a hired hand, which enabled her to prepare meals for flour, saw mill and field workers. She took charge of the mills when her husband John was away and often helped the neighbors.
In January of 1863 when Sarah Addams, then forty-six years old but carrying her ninth baby, was called over to help in the delivery of the wagonmaker's wife. The doctor was somewhere out in the country on another case, and when he finally arrived Sarah collapsed and had to be carried home. The exertion brought her own baby prematurely. It was born dead, and a week alter Sarah Addams died.
