Funeral services for Mrs. Robbye Faye Aust Briggs will begin at 12 noon, January 10, 2020 at Briggs Chapel Church with Reverend Nick Holden officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with arrangements.

Mrs. Briggs, 84, of Porterville, passed away Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at her residence.

Mrs. Robbye worked a large part of her life at Livingston University before leaving to take care of her parents and family. Following her parent’s death, she was the secretary for the Porterville Water Association until her retirement. Mrs. Briggs was a faithful servant and member of Briggs Chapel where she was the pianist for over 50 years; she will be truly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.

Mrs. Robbye is survived by her children, Greg Briggs (Janet), daughter, Pam Palmer (Keith), and daughter in law, Karen Briggs. Grandchildren, Brian Briggs (Toni), Justin Palmer (Kara), Briggs Bishop, Blake Palmer (Amy), Brittany Grantham (Lucas), and Brandon Briggs (Sera Beth). Great-Grandchildren, Colby and Haley Briggs; Cypress Hughes; Hadley Jane and Palmer Lee Grantham, Madison Walker Briggs; Chloe, Noah, and Shiloh Palmer; Luke, Hutch, and Adam Palmer as well as a host of extended family and friends.

Mrs. Briggs is preceded in death by her husband of over 30 years, Louie Briggs; parents, Jack and Kathy Aust; son, William S. “Bill” Briggs, Sr.; and grandson, William S. “Steve” Briggs, Jr.

The family suggest that memorials be made as donations to Briggs Chapel Church in lieu of flowers.

Pallbearers will be Brian Briggs, Colby Briggs, Brandon Briggs, Briggs Bishop, Justin Palmer, and Blake Palmer.

The Briggs family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:45 am prior to funeral rights at the church.
