Joseph Andrew Heiner, 82, died at his home April 13, 1986 after spending five days in the local hospital.
Joe was born Jan 22, 1904 at Bedford in the home where he lived to Charles Gottfried and Barbara Harrer Heiner. He was the third child in a family of five, one sister and three brothers. He walked to and from school. He trapped small animals and sold the fur. During the long winter evenings his father taught him to build things. He was a skilled carpenter and taught his boys the same.
On Aug 11, 1926 he married Sara Lydia Rickenbach in the Logan Temple. They raised a family of two daughters and three sons. He and his brother bought the farm and his parents moved to Afton. They farmed together until their children were old enough to help. They also threshed together form many years.
Joe guided for Ted Frome's hunting camp for many years. He enjoyed being in the mountains. He also worked at bug jobs.
Joe was a hard worker, during the last years he has made picture frames for people all over the valley. He enjoyed doing this.
He is survived by one daughter, Gayle Chadwick of Ukiah, Calif.; sons Charles and R.L. of Bedford and Joe Jr. of Perry Utah. His wife Sara, daughter Thrilva, parents, sister and three brothers preceded him in death,.
