Cellie Marie “Granny” Yokley, 89, of Sullivan, passed away 8:45 p.m. Saturday, January 4, 2020, at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 9, 2020, at McMullin-Young Funeral Home, Sullivan. Visitation will be held an hour prior to the services Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in French Cemetery, Allenville. Memorials may be made in care of the family.
Cellie was born July 20, 1930, in Fountain Run, KY; the daughter of Willie T. and Frona Hessie (Duncan) Isenberg. She married George Wayne “Yogi” Yokley on September 8, 1950 in Fountain Run, KY; he preceded her in death on August 20, 2002. She was a member of the Southern Baptist Church. Cellie enjoyed her family, puzzles, coloring and word searches.
She is survived by her sons, Max (Christi) Yokley of Brownstown, Charles “Pete" (Jeanette) Yokley of Decatur, David (Carol) Yokley of Deland and Jerry “Yogi” (Angie) Yokley of Sullivan. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, 11 step-great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
Cellie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 sons, 4 brothers, 2 sisters, 2 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and 1 daughter-in-law.
