Mrs. Barbara Peters, wife of Amos B. Peters, passed away at 12:30 Saturday
morning at the family resident on Sunnyslope, after lingering illness of over
eight months. Besides her husband she leaves to mourn her passing six sons and
one daughter; Jonas Peters of Kremlin, Montana; Moses Peters of Waterford,
California; James O. Peters of Sandpoint, Idaho; John R. Peters, of Wenatchee;
and Hiram Peters of Plain, Washington; and Mrs. Katie Holland, wife of H. C.
Holland of Wenatchee, two daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Haughman and Mrs. Mary
Ikenbery passed away several years ago.
She was the sister of Andrew Blocker of Pearl City, Illinois; Mathias Blocker
of Laketon, Indiana; John Blocker of Norwich, North Dakota; Joseph and David
Blocker, both of Wenatchee; and Mrs. Annie Johnson of St. Paul, Alberta, Canada.
She was born in Wabash County Indiana, where and Mr. Peters were united in
marriage. After 40 years in Indiana they removed to North Dakota where they
remained for 10 years, coming to Wenatchee 19 years ago. She has been a member
of the Brethren church since the age of 17.
The funeral will take place Monday, November 27th, 1922 at 2:30 p.m. from the
Brethren church, Sunnyslope. Internment will be in the Sunnyslope cemetery.
The Wenatchee Undertaking Company is in charge.
