Carl Donelson, 86, St. Joseph, died Thursday morning June 27, 1989 at a local health-care center following a lengthy illness.
Born in Ridgeway, Mo., he resided in St. Joseph most of his life.
He was employed at Goetz Brewing Co. (later Pearl Brewing Co.) for 25 years in the advertising department, retiring in 1967.
Mr. Donelson was a member of Wyatt Park Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Georgia Marie Flack Donelson; and a son, Jack R. Donelson.
Surviving: a daughter, Nancy M. Tilton of St. Joseph; a son William E. of Snellville, Ga.; a sister, Orpha Schaff of St. Joseph; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services: 1:30 p.m. today, Meierhoffer-Fleeman Funeral Home. Burial: Ashland Cemetery.
