Martha Ann McCreary, Martha Ann Staley daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joel Staley born in Perry County, Ohio on April 16, 1838, her parents came to Unionville when she was just a babe of a few months.... She was married to Thomas J. McCreary June 19, 1856... six children.... she departed this life at the home of her granddaughter Mrs. Lou Hodge, Thursday morning, June 11, 1923, at the ripe old age of 85years 1 month and 20 days....Funeral services were held at the Mount Ararat Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Luther Childs. The body was laid to rest in the Mt. Ararat Cemetery by the side of her devoted companion.
