Leonard was of the Catholic faith and a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church.
He held an associate’s degree in criminal justice and worked as a Pennsylvania state trooper for 33 years, from where he retired. Later, Leonard began working for the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office on a part-time basis. Leonard enjoyed golfing, traveling, and spending time with his grandchildren and granddog.
Leonard is survived by his son, Leonard A. Orehek Jr. of Reeders; daughter, Linda Susan Orehek of Swiftwater; and grandchildren, Evan and Matthew Orehek. He is also survived by his brother, Louis and wife Rose Orehek of Vandling. In addition to his late wife and parents, Leonard was also preceded in death by younger brother Paul Orehek.
