Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he worked for the Coty Fasto Mills there prior to retirement. He was an Army veteran of World War I and a communicant of St. Thomas Church, Old Bridge. His wife was the late Mary Donnelly Wilbur.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Charlotte Earl of Old Bridge; a son, Alfred of The Bronx; brother, Herbert of San Diego, Calif.; and six grandchildren.
The funeral will take place Monday at 8:15 a.m. from the Rezem Funeral Home, 190 Main St., South River, with a requiem Mass set for 9 a.m. in St. Thomas Church. Interment will be in St. Charles Cemetery, Pinelawn, L.I.
