Hastings resident Virginia M. “Ginny” Malouf, 100, passed away Saturday, December 28, 2019, at her home.

Ginny was born November 3, 1919, in Moberly, MO to George F. & Lucille (Shumate) Eck. She graduated from Moberly Junior College in 1937. Ginny moved to Hastings from Los Angeles, CA in 1947. She married Dermont W. Malouf on November 9, 1946; he preceded her in death on April 10, 2008.

Ginny was a homemaker and worked at Mode O’Day. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Eastern Star, Shrine Auxiliary, Mary Lanning Auxiliary, and was a charter member of Lochland Country Club. Ginny was a former member of Daughters of the Nile.

Ginny was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dermont W. Malouf; and one sister.
