Eva M. Hanna, 83, of Du Quoin, passed away at 2:50 P.M., Sunday, December 29, 2019 at the Du Quoin Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Eva had been a nurses aide for the Perry County Health Department. She also ran E & W Sporting Goods Store for thirteen years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Du Quoin. Eva was also a member of the Du Quoin V.F.W. Auxiliary.
She was born February 13, 1936 at Vergennes, IL, the daughter of Charles and Pauline (Tuthill) Parrish.
She married William E. Hanna on March 31, 1953 at Vergennes, IL and he preceded her in death on July 11, 2019.
She is survived by two daughters - Belinda and husband David of Chatham and Sandy and husband Fred of Du Quoin, seven grandchildren, all of Indiana, eight great grandchildren and two sisters - Nancy and husband Darrel of Edwardsville and Virginia of St. Louis, MO.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one sister - Margaret Sickler-Beard.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, January 2, 2020 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.
Friends may call from 9 A.M. until the time of service on Thursday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.
Burial will be in the Murdale Gardens of Memory in Murphysboro.
