MRS. JAMES BRIGGS
DIES OF HEART TROUBLE
Mrs. Artulus Cook Briggs, 55 years of age, widow of James Briggs, died suddenly of heart trouble at her home in Bountiful at ? o'clock yesterday morning.
Mrs. Briggs attended the play put on by the Junior High school in the Bountiful Theatre the night before and seemed to be enjoying better health than she had for some time past.
She was getting ready to accompany her daughter, Sylvia to Salt Lake. She stepped into the back room when she fell to the floor. She died without regaining consciousness.
Mrs. Briggs was born in Bountiful and lived here all her life. She was the daughter of Mark and Ann Evans Cook.
December 2, 1886, she was married to James Briggs who died six years ago.
Surviving Mrs. Briggs are following children: Amos A., T. Amby, Mark C., Clarence and Sylvia Briggs, all Bountiful. She is survived by eleven grand children. Two of these--James and Lorin Briggs—are the sons of Mr. and Mrs. Lorin D. Briggs, who were killed in an automobile accident a few years ago, and made their home with Mrs. Briggs.
Funeral services will be held in the Bountiful Tabernacle, Sunday at 2 p. m.
