Jennifer Lee Truseak-Surmanek passed away on Thursday, December 26, 2019 at the age of 51.
Born in East Orange, she resided in East Hanover for 38 years before moving to Rockaway Borough in March of 2006. A 1987 graduate of Hanover Park High School, she attended County College of Morris before working at EWMA in Parsippany as a Payroll Officer. Jen had a love for dogs, and was a huge advocate of rescuing those that had been neglected and providing them with the perfect forever home. She also enjoyed vacations in the Caribbean with her husband Chris and Motley Crue concerts.
She is reunited now with her father, Leon Francis Truseak, who passed away in 1985, her pups, Pepper, Coby, Sponge, Speedy, Stella, Syrus and Milani. Jen leaves behind her loving husband of 11 years, Christopher Steven Surmanek of Rockaway Borough, her mother Phyllis Audrey (Sturgis) Truseak of East Hanover; her biological father, Donald Jacobus of Florida; her half sister, Carin Jacobus Frisco; her father and mother in-law, Steven Alan and Ann Jean Surmanek of Rockaway Township; her brother-in-law, Jason Surmanek and wife Danielle of Franklin Lakes; her niece Gianna and nephew Jason Jr., and her “Babies,” Sira “T,” the Pitbull-Mix, Taco “Shme,” the Chihuahua, and Arlow the Dogue de Bordeaux "French Mastiff."
Funeral Services will be held 11AM Friday at Hancliffe Home for Funerals, 222 Ridgedale Avenue, East Hanover NJ 07936 with interment to follow at Restland Memorial Park.
