Afterwards settled as pastor of the Baptist church at Boonville, NY where his ministerial labors ended. He died of bronchial consumption at his father's house in Clinton, NY Oct. 30, 1851, age 36 years. He was a man of fine talents and was universally beloved and respected; m. July 20, 1835, Caroline Smith; (2) Eliza Guthrie, who soon died; (3) Sarah Wadsworth.
