"ELIADA TUTTLE, b. July 2, 1815; grad. Hamilton Theo. Sem.; sent by the Baptist Home Missionary society into Penn. and Tenn., where he organized and built up several churches. Afterwards settled as pastor of the Baptist church at Boonville, NY where his ministerial labors ended. He died of bronchial consumption at his father's house in Clinton, NY Oct. 30, 1851, age 36 years. He was a man of fine talents and was universally beloved and respected; m. July 20, 1835, Caroline Smith; (2) Eliza Guthrie, who soon died; (3) Sarah Wadsworth. Children by 1st marriage: Judson, died age 6 yrs; Children by 3rd marriage: Flora F., Newton S., both living in Chicago, IL, 1870."
