Virginia Lee Dillon Guckien, age 83, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 25, 2019, in Miller’s Merry Manor.

The daughter of James and Alma Gransinger Dillon, she was born, raised, and educated in Walton.

After graduation from Ball State University, she taught English at Logansport High School for 31 years.

Her hobbies included knitting, reading, cooking, gardening, traveling, and spending time with her cats. She was a member of Calvary Presbyterian Church.

She was the mother of three children: Brice (Noelle) Guckien of Zionsville, Dan Guckien of Lafayette, and Lou Ann (Steve) McAdams of Marvin, North Carolina; and eight grandchildren.

She spent her later years at Miller’s Merry Manor.

Many, many thanks to her long-time caregiver Mary Miller, her doctor, Dr. Kamlesh Kaul, and the wonderful, caring staff at Miller’s Merry Manor.

The graveside service will be conducted at Center U. B. Cemetery in Young America at 10:00 a.m., on January 11, 2020, with Pastor Bruce Vernon officiating.
