Bobby Joe Bailey, 30, of Jefferson City, died Wednesday, July 18, 2007, in Osage County, Mo. He was born August 1, 1976, in Jefferson City, Mo., a son of George Edward Bailey and Roxie Ann (Wolfe) Bailey.
Bobby attended Eugene High School. He worked for a number of years at The Center. He enjoyed playing chess, checkers and cards, and he also enjoyed listening to music and shooting pool.
He is survived by his mother, Roxie Bailey, Holts Summit; father, George Bailey, Jefferson City; one brother, Chuck Bailey (wife Emily) Jefferson City; one niece, Makenna Bailey, Jefferson City; maternal grandmother, Evelyn Wolfe, Holts Summit and paternal grandmother, Lucyann Bailey, Jefferson City. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, George Wolfe and Guy Bailey.
Friends will be received from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 21, 2007, at the Slater-Millard Family Funeral Chapel in Holts Summit. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 21, 2007, at the Slater-Millard Family Funeral Chapel, with Pastor Joe Skiles officiating.
