Betty Lou Jackson Allen, age 77 of Calhoun, passed away on Wednesday, December 25, 2019 at AdventHealth Gordon.

Betty was born on January 29, 1942 in Calhoun, GA to the late Dayton William Jackson and Margaret Louise Holleran Jackson. In addition to her parents, Betty was also preceded in death by: two brothers, Harold Jackson and Norman Jackson; and two sisters, Margie Nesbitt and Helen Hall; and brother-in-law, Charles Moody. Betty was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.

Betty is survived by: her husband, Avise Allen of Calhoun; two sons, Brent Holden and Kirk Jackson; two daughters, Tamara Kilgore and her fiancé Charlie Burk and Carolyn Amerson and her husband Toby of Easley, SC; seven grandchildren, Delana Jackson and her fiancé Joseph Edwards, Griffin Holden, Courtney Amerson, Ashlee Amerson, Gavin Jackson, Lukas Holden, and Tristen Amerson; one great-grandchild, Axton Edwards; three brothers, Billy Jackson, Jerry Jackson and his wife Caroyn, and David Jackson and his wife Barbara; and two sisters, Eloise Moody and Joyce Collumn and her husband Roy.

The family would like to thank the staff of AdventHealth Gordon Wound Care, Gordon Home Care, and Harbin Clinic Dialysis Team.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday, December 28th at 2 PM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Reverend Chris Hall officiating. Interment will follow in Fain Cemetery.

Pallbearers serving include: Gavin Jackson, Dale Mabb, Joe Nesbitt, Scott Nesbitt, Job Bob Nesbitt, Wade Sims and Brandon Sims.

Honorary Pallbearers are: Joseph Edwards, Ben Hall, Henry Nesbitt, Corey Richardson, Danny Priest, Randell Jackson, Michael Roach, Jeff Keown, Shane Jackson, and Steven Jackson.

The family will receive friends on Friday, December 27th from 5 PM until 8 PM at Thomas Funeral Home.
