Services for Leland E. Brown, 50, Lawrence, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary with the Rev. Paul Winn Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Brown died Thursday, April 16, 1992, of natural causes at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

He had been a lifelong resident of Lawrence. He was born June 11, 1941, in Lawrence, the son of Wilford Sr. and Fredericka Porter Brown.

He was a member of Second Christian Church in Lawrence. He was a former employee of Cottonwood Inc. and had won several medals at Special Olympics competitions in Lawrence.

Survivors include his mother of Lawrence; two brothers, Wilford Jr., Lawrence, and LeRoy, Bowie, Md.; and four sisters, Joyce Barksdale and Charlotte Dickson, both of Lawrence, Carole Galloway, Arlington, Tex., and Bonnie Wallace, Oxen Hill, Md.
