Ida May Mason was the daughter of Joseph Lector "Leck" Mason and Mary Elizabeth Bagsby/Bagby. She was 20 years old when in 1896 she married 63 year old Jeremiah M. Wells, born 1833 Jeremiah died in 1931 at the age of 97. She and Jerry had a daughter Mary born in 1897. About 1933 Ida married Rev. John Mason b. 1861 who also was much older than she. Rev. John Mason lived until 1959 at the age of 98. Ida was remembered as saying, "I'd rather be an old man's darling than a young man's fool!"
