Nathaniel Thomas was born in Plymouth, 24 June 1700, the son of Nathaniel Thomas and Mary Appleton.

He married first in Plymouth, 23 July 1722, Hope Warren.
They had the following children:
1. Nathaniel Thomas, b. Plymouth 5 Jan. 1726, d. Plymouth 26 Jan. 1726.
2. Nathaniel Thomas, b. Plymouth 27 Jan. 1727, d. Plymouth 27 Feb. 1727.

He married second in Plymouth, 1 September 1729, Hannah Robinson.
They had a daughter:
1. Hannah Thomas, b. Plymouth 20 June 1730. She married Gen. John Thomas.

He married third in Plymouth, 27 December 1733, Elizabeth Gardner.
They had the following children:
1. Nathaniel Thomas, b. Plymouth 17 Oct. 1742, d. Plymouth 16 June 1743.
2. Lucy Thomas, b. Plymouth b. 5 Dec. 1743, d. Plymouth 18 Dec. 1743.
3. John Thomas, b. Plymouth 27 Sep. 1745. He was a Loyalist.

Lt. Col. Nathaniel Thomas was the captain of the 1st Company of the Ninth Massachusetts Regiment during the Siege of Louisburg during King George's War. He died at Louisburg. His exact burial is unknown.
