Life Long Resident of Clinton Passes Away Suddenly.

May 12, 1908--Mrs. Ada D. Adams, a life-long resident of DeWitt County, died at 2:40 o'clock this morning at the family residence of West Van Buren Street. She was 34 years old. Death was due to stomach trouble, and followed an illness of nine days. She enjoyed the respect of a large circle of friends, and news of her death will be received with regret.

Mrs. Adams was born near Birkbeck on June 7, 1874, and had resided in this county all her life. In 1894 she was married to Fred Adams. Removing to Clinton after her marriage. Besides her husband she is survived by two children, Elmer and Samuel Adams. She also leaves her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Polen of Birkbeck, and four sisters. They are Joseph, Ollie, Clarence and Claude Polen, all living near Birkbeck and Mrs. Mamie Shue, Mrs. Lola La??, Edna Polen and Effie Polen, all of this county.

The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Birkbeck Church. Rev. Mr. Collier will conduct the services and interment will be at Wilmore Cemetery.
