She honorably served her country in the United States Army from 1958-1961 where she taught jungle warfare in Panama. She was a retired registered traveling nurse and director of medical records.
Survivors include: husband, John Joy of Wabash, sister, Delores Miller of Frankfort, and cousin, William (Connie) Ladd of Dawson Springs, Kentucky.
Funeral services will be held Monday, December 23, 2019 at 1:00 PM at the VA chapel on the campus of the VA Northern Indiana Health Care System, 1700 East 38th Street, Marion, Indiana with a gathering of family and friends one hour prior to the service. Burial with military honors will take place at 2:00 PM at the Marion National Cemetery.
